Seminole, FL designated dementia-friendly city

SEMINOLE – The City Council designated Seminole as a dementia-friendly city at its Aug. 25 meeting.

Councilors approved a request by the Florida Caregivers Network, which is based in Seminole, to recognize the city as a Purple City – the color used around the world to raise dementia awareness. It’s the first Purple City in the state and one of only five in the country, said Maria Winer, FCN board president.
