Rutgers Scientists Find Link Between Alzheimer's and DDT

Researchers at Rutgers University have become the first scientists to link the banned pesticide DDT to Alzheimer’s disease, according to a study published yesterday in JAMA Neurology.

The study examined levels of the chemical DDE, a byproduct of the pesticide DDT, in the blood of healthy patients compared with patients with late-onset Alzheimer’s, the most common form of the illness.
